Exclusions

The limitations of our complaints process.

This complaints procedure does not cover:

  • Complaints relating to alleged criminal behaviour.
  • Any case where legal proceedings are threatened or taken against the SoA. This includes decisions made by a court or tribunal in those proceedings.
  • Any matters where there is an external complaints process. For example, the ICO. Please see our Data Protection Policy.
  • Complaints relating to actions outside of SoA business activities. This includes disputes or interactions between members in relation to things said or done in a private capacity, such as on a personal social media account.
  • Disciplinary proceedings directly against our staff. You may lodge a complaint against the organisation naming individual members of staff and we will investigate under this procedure but any disciplinary we action we choose to take will be dealt with under a separate internal procedure.
