Join us for the October meeting of the Three Counties Lunch Group with a talk from Anne Digby on writing deadlines.
Anne Digby is a successful and well-established children's author. Her 14-book Trebizon series, set in a fictional Cornish boarding school, written between 1978 and 1993, has recently been reissued by Egmont and continues to enjoy a big following with a new generation of readers. In 1999, Anne was approached by Enid Blyton's family and invited to write six new Naughtiest Girl books to follow on from those Blyton had written in the 1940s/50s, thus creating a 10-book series, which features permanently on the Hachette children's list. Having, over the years, turned her hand to everything from picture strips to film tie-ins, she will talk today about some of her writing deadlines.
