EWG Week: Industry Insider – Traditional vs Independent publishing in educational writing

Panel discussion on alternative publication processes for educational books

Join EWG Committee Member and joint series editor and co-author of over 80 books for Collins Education’s reading programme Big Cat Phonics for Letters and Sounds, Emily Guille-Marrett as she chairs our #EWGWeek event, exploring the role of publishers in bringing educational books to market and demystifying the process from writers in the process.

The panel includes Habiba Desai, independent publisher and co-founder of Fox and Windmill, the UK’s first independent publishing company for British South Asian writers, and Marc Bloch, Director of Digital Transformation at Oxford University Press in the English Language Division.

This event was part of our #EWGWeek, a week of events celebrating the mark of 60 years since our Educational Writers Group (EWG) was established.
