Monmouth Group: Sequels, Trilogies and Series with Oliver Barton

3 July @ 11:00 - 14:00 BST

Free

Join the Monmouth group on Friday 3 July from 11am for a catch-up and a discussion about sequels, trilogies and series with Oliver Barton.

As well as our general update on SoA, group and individual news, Oliver Barton will introduce a discussion on the trend towards sequels/trilogies/series. Is it something that writers want or is it imposed by publishers? What are the advantages and disadvantages of writing and publishing in this form rather than one-off novels. Let us have your experience and opinions.

We will first be meeting from 11am for a coffee and catch up at Creates Bistro, 7 Church Street, Monmouth NP25 3BX before having the 12pm meeting at Monmouth Library and Community Hub, Whitecross Street, NP25 3BY. (This meeting is not taking place at our usual venue as Bridges Community Centre is still recovering from the November floods and is likely to be closed for several months.)

Bring your own lunch. There are tea and coffee making facilities at the Library.

Hope to see you there!
