Feel Good Friday – Mindfulness for those with busy minds or busy lives
22 May @ 11:00 - 11:45 BST

This short session is designed for people who want to master mindfulness but find it difficult to find the time to meditate.
It’s based on a 6-week course originally developed for the Plum village order of Zen Buddhists (based on the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh). The course aimed to make mindfulness accessible for people with Neurodivergency challenges but it turned out that many other people also found it extremely helpful. It was realised that for some people, determination to master mindfulness had not worked no matter how much time and effort was put into it. Their brain was just not playing fair with them and it was necessary to find ways to make it easier to access.
So, this approach is ideal for people who want to enhance their lives but find it difficult to sit down and meditate for twenty minutes or more a day.

The Line-up
Sylvia Clare
I am a long-time mindfulness teacher and practitioner (over 30 yrs) who found the traditional ways of teaching mindfulness did little for me. But without it, my life felt less than satisfactory. So I played with the teachings, used my knowledge of brain plasticity and cognitive neuroscience and worked out ways that are applicable to anybody, but are especially beneficial to those with Neurodigency challenges in life.
