SoA welcomes Copyright Directive vote
MEPs have voted to approve the EU Copyright Directive by 348 votes to 274. The legislation must now be implemented by individual member states.

SoA keeps up the pressure on e-book piracy
The SoA is continuing to put pressure on Open Library to cease the practice of unlawfully scanning copies of physical books and loaning them out as e-books. This practice is a direct infringement of copyright.

Playwright Oliver Emanuel scoops 2019 Tinniswood Award
Audio-dramatist, playwright and screenwriter Sarah Woods presented Oliver Emanuel with the Tinniswood Award for the best original audio drama script for his play, When the Pips Stop – including a cheque for £3,000, at the BBC’s Audio Drama Awards on 3 February 2019.
