How it works

The group meets on Zoom for themed discussions and informal networking. Ensure you don’t miss out on anything by emailing membership@societyofauthors.org to join the mailing list!

2026 Events

We are hosting two member-led networking sessions in 2026, plus an in-person event at the SoA offices in Bedford Row. Find out more and register below:

  • Wednesday 7 September at 11am for our first member-led networking session. Come along and get to know your fellow authors! Register here.
  • Friday 9 October at 11am for an in person meeting at the SoA offices, bringing together the three Underrepresented Writers Networks. Register here.
  • Thursday 7 December from 5pm for a themed discussion and networking session. Register here.

How do I join?

Meetings are open to members of the SoA. Any member of the SoA can join any of its groups. You can sign up to the Writers of Colour network by completing the form below.

Your membership number which you can find on your membership card or on correspondence from us
Please add the email address you would like emails about these events to be sent to. If it differs from the address we currently hold for you we will add it as an alternative address.
You can join any number of these groups for free. You will receive notifications about network events by email
