Sophia curates and delivers the SoA events programme. She supports our team of community coordinators and is a coordinator herself, for the Scriptwriters Group. Sophia launched the #SoAatHome festival of online events in April 2020 which continues to be a success.

In 2021 Sophia was named a Rising Star by The Bookseller.

Lilly joined the SoA in May 2021 and works within the Events department as our Events Manager.

She is a Co-Coordinator of the Comics Creators Network.

Alice joined the SoA in November 2025. She works as part of the Communications team to promote and campaign on authors’ interests and to raise the SoA’s profile, influence, and visibility.

Louise joined the SoA in March 2025 as part of our Communications team. She began her career in broadcast television commissioning documentaries, before launching her own social media agency in 2011.

She is based in the West Midlands and spends her spare time either reading, writing or walking the dog

Johanna advises members on contracts and issues. She manages the SoA’s outreach programme as our outreach lead and is a co-host of The SoA Advisory Clinic podcast.
