Over 50 authors have been awarded nearly £185,000 in grants this month to help them focus on their latest writing projects – either with research costs or by giving them valuable time to write.
Our final 2019 round of grants will support the work of a range of exciting authors, from poetry and fiction to biography and non-fiction.
Each year we are thrilled to be able to support a number of writers with their works in progress through grants from the Authors’ Foundation and K Blundell Trust. By the start of 2018 we had received an enormous number of applications from writers of a wide range of genres and styles. This year we are delighted to be able to support some exciting new work from established and emerging authors. Over 50 authors will receive cheques amounting to £180,000 enabling them to complete their latest projects.
