Emma rejoined the Society of Authors in 2024 as Head of Membership and Author Communities. She leads the Member Services team and works on the strategic development of membership recruitment, volunteer management, development of all author communities and membership benefits. She is the coordinator of the Society of Authors in Wales.
Coordinates the SoA’s local groups (around 50x), helping to publicise and administer their events and activities. Elsa also supports the wider Membership team in with ad-hoc tasks or periods of leave.
Keith joined SoA in 2024 as our Legal Counsel.
Jason joined SoA in 2024 as our HR Manager. Jason oversees the HR function of the company, which involves the company culture, employee lifecycle, people management, diversity, equity, inclusion, data management and data analysis.
Elsa joined the SoA in 2024. She works part-time as Executive Administrator on Mondays and Thursdays.
Sam Gonçalves joined the SoA in April 2024, and is a writer from Brazil, currently living in Glasgow. Previously, he has worked with organisations like Creative Dundee, The Ferret, Hot Chocolate Trust, Greater Govanhill and others – both in the Third Sector and in the Creative Industries. Livonia is our Communications Assistant. She works on social media outreach, idea generation, and most importantly – assisting. Livonia is also the coordinator the Educational Writers Group.
Natalie joined the SoA in November 2022 and helps to manage all of the SoA’s grants, prizes and awards.
Gwen joined the SoA in 2023. She works part-time as Finance Officer for the SoA.
Elizabeth joined the SoA in June 2022 and works part-time in the operations team running payroll for the organisation and supporting with HR tasks. She is the staff liaison for the SoAiS.
Mathilde joined the SoA in 2022. She transferred from the Membership team to the Advisory team in November 2022 where she will continue her work advising members with publishing issues. Mathilde is joint coordinator of the SoA’s Poetry and Spoken Word Group.
Dejla joined the SoA in 2021. She manages the day-to-day operations of the Membership Services team as our Senior Membership Manager.
