Simon has been a barrister since 1978 and an author since 1988. He was instrumental in setting up the Road Victims Trust charity, supporting those bereaved or suffering life-changing injuries on the roads, and sat on its board for many years. He was also the winner of the Bar Pro Bono prize for creating the first pro bono lawyers group to support bereaved people arriving at coroners courts without representation. As an author, he is frequently referred to as “the British John Grisham” for his Charles Holborne series of legal crime thrillers set in 1960s London and. His non-crime fiction is published under a pseudonym.
