Rebecca Colby is a children’s author, poet and screenwriter who has traditionally published 46 books (with 6 more forthcoming) with Macmillan, Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, HarperCollins, and Nosy Crow, amongst others. Her educational work includes narrative non-fiction picture books with the National Trust and phonics books/early readers with both Collins and Maverick Arts Publishing. 
She also works as a Royal Literary Fund fellow, tutoring university students on their writing skills. Additionally, she is a Retreat Manager for the prestigious Rocaberti Writers’ Retreats in France. Previous to writing, she worked as a reference librarian for 10 years and has taught primary school in both the UK and as an ELT teacher in Taiwan.
Rebecca has been a member of the SOA since 2013 and served as a past committee member on the Children’s Writers and Illustrators Group.
