Alun Gibbard has been writing for a living for the last 14 years. He’s published 36 books, in Welsh and English. These are predominantly non-fiction, including some co-written life stories of Welsh people prominent in sport, music, broadcasting, politics and acting, as well as books on aspects of social and political history. He’s published one novel in Welsh and is working on his first English one. He’s been published by Y Lolfa, Graffeg, Headline and one self-published book.
Prior to his career as an author, he worked in broadcasting for 26 years as producer and presenter, on TV and radio, in Wales and England, in Welsh and in English, for the BBC, ITV and S4C. He has written for magazines, mainly Golwg, having written over a thousand stories for them. He’s also contributed to the Western Mail. He has five current book commissions and one proposal I’m discussing with a new publisher.
