Victoria Bennett is a disabled and chronically-ill poet, author. Her writing spans poetry, memoir, non-fiction and games-based storytelling, and she has She written and talked extensively on grief, care, and writing through times of change.

She holds a BA in English and Creative Studies and an MA in Creative Writing. With over 30 years of experience as a creative facilitator, she has worked across various community-based projects and taught creative writing at Lancaster University.

A firm believer in everyone’s right to write their own story, she has dedicated much of her adult life to creating spaces where people can do that. In 1999, she founded Wild Women Press, and now curates the Wild Woman Web and the Wild Women Writers’ Salons.

Her writing has received the Nautilus Award for Memoir (Silver), the Northern Debut Award, Northern Promise Award, Andrew Waterhouse Award, Mother’s Milk Non-Fiction Prize, Runner Up in the Lakeland Book Awards (Wordsworth Prize for Poetry and Literature), shortlisted for the People’s Book Prize, and was long-listed for the Penguin WriteNow programme and the Nan Shepherd Award for underrepresented voices.

She has published five pamphlets of poetry, appeared in several anthologies, and shared her writing in many places, from a forest in Kentucky to the Glastonbury Festival and even in the Minecraft game.

She lives in Scotland with her husband and son. When not juggling writing, full-time care, and genetic illness, she can be found where the wild weeds grow, growing her apothecary garden. All My Wild Mothers is her debut memoir, published in 2023 (Two Roads Books).
