My story began during my childhood years. I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. This caused so much anxiety for me since all my siblings and friends had a definite answer to this question. I grew up in the countryside, on a farm in Pennsylvania in the United States. We had chickens, pigs and a huge vegetable garden but my dad was not a farmer, he was an electrician. My mother was a stay at home mom who made sure all eight of her children were responsible, knew the difference between right and wrong and went to college. It was in sixth grade with the help of my english teacher, Mrs Bakken, that I wrote my very first short story. We entered this story in a writing contest at Readers Digest for children and I won a prize and a medal. But, it was not until I was 59 years old that I would write and publish my very first children’s picture book, Love, Sugar And Cookie. This story is about family and sisters who are twins but have two very different personalities.https://a.co/d/eniyG0R. Today I have written and published twenty-one children’s picture books. I have written two series. The first is my Sugar and Cookie series which consists of four books. The second is my Grumpy the Iguana and Green Parrot Adventure series which is at present seventeen books. I am currently working on a non fiction history book for middle school children which is based on the life of my great grandfather. Currently, I am living in Naples, Florida with my two white and fluffy Pomeranians, Sugar and Marshmallow and enjoying the palm trees and the warm blue-green water of the Gulf.
