I write across SFFH as well as writing essays on the intersection of popular culture and society. I have written non-fiction for the Bookseller, appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Front Row, the Hugo award winning Nerds of a Feather, Parsec and SciFi Bulletin among others.
As well as fiction, I have edited a number of anthologies – most recently working in collaboration with English Heritage and another in collaboration with the Good Law Project.
I am currently Chair of the British Science Fiction Association which serves to support and nurture the Science Fiction community in the UK for both fans and academics.
I am also the current treasurer for the British Fantasy Society.
