I’m the author of 8 books of cultural commentary and 17 novels, as well as collections of short stories & poetry. I’ve also been working as a journalist and an artist since the early 1980s. As an artist I had a mid-career retrospective at White Columns in New York in 2011. I have visual works in the Arts Council of England collection.
