In one way of cutting the cake of writer types, I’m a Perfectionist Empath with a touch of Rebel. I edit as I write, combing through the words until they flow without glitch or hindrance. My stories straddle genres – crime, romance, humour – and are driven by characters that live in my head, who constantly surprise me. At heart, my stories are about fairness and justice, and are, I hope, ultimately uplifting.

I follow Lunn’s five rules of fiction, which, for what they’re worth, are: Show. Control PoV. Heroes must suffer. Respect the reader. Write what you care about.
