I write historical fiction for middle-grade readers, including a series of novels following the adventures of intrepid female motorcycle dispatch riders during the First and Second World Wars and several collections of short stories about the real-life tales of inspirational but largely unknown women through history. These books have been used in schools as part of the KS2 English and History curriculum. 

I have a large back catalogue of non-fiction titles for children covering subjects as diverse as history, geography, science, crafts and hobbies and survival skills. I have also written and edited teachers’ handbooks and educational resources and devised exhibition text and materials for museums.
