Dr Stacie Allan is a French to English translator specialising in non-fiction texts (academic, culture, art). She has translated books and shorter pieces on a wide range of subjects including puppetry, the arts and ecology, and photography.
Stacie closely collaborates with literary organisations and universities to design initiatives that engage young audiences in translation and creative activities.
Stacie holds a PhD in French women’s writing and has published research on the novel genre, conceptions of selfhood and self-expression, and depictions of the female body in art and literature. She is author of Writing the Self, Writing the Nation (Peter Lang, 2019)
