I’ve been working as a translator from Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and German for years, translating everything from technical manuals, contracts and annual reports to memoirs, self-help books, theses and subtitles.
I’m currently engaged in novel-writing, exploring a number of different styles and approaches, but I also write poetry and short fiction as the mood takes me. I hold a Master’s in Creative Writing with Distinction from the University of Reading and wrote my debut novel – described as ‘a compelling, undoubtedly exceptional piece of work’ – as part of this programme. I’m now pursuing a PhD in Creative Writing, also at Reading, exploring Welsh landscapes, legend and identity as part of my research.
My 5000-word short story Echoes was shortlisted for the 2024 Rhys Davies Short Story Award and published by Parthian Books as part of its anthology A Dictionary of Light. Rhys Davies Short Story Competition 2024
