Sarah Towle is an educator, researcher, and award-winning author; a human rights defender, nature lover, and choral soprano. Her current writing and podcasting focus is on the 21st-century story of forced human displacement and migration.

Global nomad and ally to all, Sarah resides in the ephemeral borderlands, buffeted and buoyed by a diversity of languages, cultures, landscapes, and creeds. She has taught English language literacy, cross-cultural communication, conflict resolution skills, and the writing craft for three decades on four continents across the age span and in myriad class contexts, including under the trees in refugee settings. She was the Founder of Creative Director of digital publishing start-up Time Traveller Tours & Tales, from 2009-2017.

Crossing the Line: Finding America in the Borderlands, Sarah’s debut full-length book, is a Nonfiction Authors Association Gold Medal Award recipient and a Finalist for the Nellie Bly Award for Journalist and Investigative Non-fiction. The book is available in print, e-, and audio-book formats.

Sarah’s podcast From the Borderlands can be found on Substack: Tales of Humanity or wherever you listen. For more information about both book and author, visit Sarah’s website
