Sadbh Kellett is an Irish author represented by Sabhbh Curran at Curtis Brown. Both her prose and poetry have been published in journals throughout Ireland, the UK and the USA. In 2022, she was shortlisted for the Women’s Prize’s Discoveries Award. Last year, she was selected for Ireland’s National Mentoring Programme and mentored by Colin Barrett while working on her feminist western Black River’s Song.

Kellett is also an academic and has worked with Harvard University and the University of Edinburgh as a research assistant preserving and cataloguing Gaelic folklore for the Fionn Folklore Database. She completed her PhD at the University of St. Andrews in 2024 under the supervision of Professor Peter Mackay, the current Makar of Scotland, and Dr. Christina Alt. Her work considered the relationship between Gaelic mythology and Gaelic identities in Irish and Scottish literature during the Irish revolutionary period. For the past three summers she has taught on the Scottish Universities’ International Summer School’s creative writing and Scottish literature modules.
