I am a lawyer by profession and a writer by passion, blending my expertise in advocacy with a growing commitment to academic research and storytelling. My writing journey began with a 10,000-word thesis during my legal studies, where I explored the Protection of Official Data and whether the Official Secrets Acts are fit for purpose within twenty-first century modern Britain. Since then, I have delved into academic and legal research, crafting narratives that aim to uncover truths, amplify voices, and inspire meaningful change.
I aspire to embark on an MPhil/PhD, focusing on areas such as prison law, justice reform, and the experiences of marginalised communities within the legal system. Through my research and writing, I aim to bring untold stories to light and contribute to a more just and equitable society.
In my legal practice, I am committed to advocating for people and communities, particularly those who are failed by the system. Advocacy, to me, is an art of perfecting words—whether it’s crafting a compelling argument, drafting accessible guidance, or championing someone’s voice in challenging circumstances. This precision and empathy in communication inform my writing style and approach.
I am excited to connect with fellow authors and writers to exchange ideas, learn from diverse perspectives, and refine my craft. Writing, for me, is not just an intellectual pursuit but a deeply human one—a way to understand, connect, and contribute to the world around us.
