ROSEMARY J BROWN is a journalist and author of Following Nellie Bly: Her Record-Breaking Race Around the World, where she re-traced the pioneering Victorian reporter’s epic 72-day global journey. Her latest book, published by The History Press, is Moving Mountains: Intrepid Women Climbers and the Peaks Named in their Honour. She is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (RGS), a Churchill Fellow and a member The Alpine Club, The Biographer’s Club, Women in Journalism and Society of Authors. She lectures at RGS, Globetrotters Club and literary festivals. Her passion for climbing led her to the top of Africa’s Mount Kilimanjaro, Nepal’s Yala Peak and mountains in India, Europe and the Americas. Rosemary received the Antonia Fraser Award from the Society of Authors, and the Audrey Salkeld Bursary for Media and Research into Alpinism from the Alpine Club, for Moving Mountains.
