With a specialisation in music and the arts and an academic background as a linguist, I have been providing English translations from Russian, Czech and German (song texts and programme notes) for 25 years for a variety of concert venues and classical recording labels as well as subtitles for opera DVDs.

I started my career as a multilingual translator at an international organisation in Prague, and today I work also as a freelance copyeditor of books on music, art, history and archaeology for clients including the BBC, British Museum, Royal Ballet and Opera, Thames & Hudson, Victoria & Albert Museum and Yale University Press, London.
