I am an award-winning translator who has been working in the field since 2014, translating from German, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Russian, Polish and Luxembourgish into my native English. I have translated two non-fiction translations (from Swedish) and have fiction translations (from Danish, German and Polish) published or forthcoming in The Dodge, Mayday, Turkoslavia, Subnivean and Your Impossible Voice. I was also a contributing translator to the forthcoming Selected Stories of Anton Chekhov (2024, Cherry Orchard Books).
I have worked on samples and pitches with publishers such as V&Q, Hanser, Rowohlt, Granta, Turbine and Wydawnictwo Cyranka.
Commercially, I have translated public policy papers and working reports from major European institutions, exhibition texts for numerous museums, art galleries and public cultural institutes, and academic papers on subjects ranging from right-wing extremism online to Samnite hill forts in the 4th century BCE.
I was the recipient of the Goethe-Institut Award for New Translation in 2023. I was shortlisted for the John Dryden Translation Prize in 2021 and longlisted for the same prize in 2023.
I am available for reader’s reports in any of the languages I translate from.
