Paul Underwood is an author of flash fiction, fantasy, magical realism and short stories whose work explores the small moments where ordinary life quietly becomes something unexpected.

Originally from Northampton, Paul has also lived in Minehead, Bristol and Wales, and is now based near Loch Lomond in Scotland.

He is the creator of the four-book Tiny Windows Collection, in which mystery, humour, fantasy, wonder and the unexpected sit side by side. Alongside his short fiction, Paul is the author of The Elemental Chronicles, an ongoing young adult portal fantasy series beginning with A Storm Incoming.

His books have found readers across the UK and are available worldwide, inviting readers to discover the extraordinary hidden within everyday life.

Alongside his writing, Paul performs Magic and Wonder, and its sense of surprise, timing and possibility continues to influence his storytelling.

Paul publishes independently through his imprint, Springlight Publishing. He writes from a cupboard under the stairs near Loch Lomond, a place perfectly suited to stories, tea and the occasional argument with fictional characters.
