Paris Bartholomew joined the SoA 3 months ago, a first time writer who has recently written her memoir depicting her life as a care-experienced, mental health advocate and motivational speaker. She does regular speaking work with corporate and independent organisations, such as Action for Children, Barnardo’s and the NSPCC, she previously worked as a psychologist and Head of CPD for health & social care. In 2022 she was nominated for an award as ‘role model for race, religion and faith’ in the National Diversity Awards, and last year she was a finalist in the CPD Trainer of the Year awards. She is passionate about representing & supporting disadvantaged groups, promoting diversity, equality & inclusion and finds the time to be a Samaritans volunteer. She is currently looking for a publishing contract while studying Level 2 BSL. In her spare time, she practices mediation, Tai chi and Qigong.
