Born in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and now based in Plymouth, Devon, P M Buchan writes dark fiction and writes about dark culture across every medium, spanning literature, art, film, music, theatre and immersive experiences.A former columnist for Starburst and SCREAM magazines, he has written for Times Literary Supplement and been interviewed by Rue Morgue and Kerrang!
P M Buchan has created horror comics with Eisner award-winning artist John Pearson, The Department of Truth creator Martin Simmonds, and was part of 30 Days of Night creator Ben Templesmith’s art collective 44FLOOD. Collaborating with artists from around the world, he has exhibited at Orbital Comics, London, and Ladybeck, Leeds. He served four times as a British Fantasy Awards juror and has collaborated on comics with bands including Megadeth and Harley Poe.
He was part of the online team that helped to relaunch Starburst, the world’s longest-running magazine of sci-fi, fantasy and horror, becoming a regular columnist when the magazine returned to print. He currently writes horror fiction and documents the dark corners of the world.
