NP Cunniffe was born in County Roscommon, Ireland. He holds an MA in Writing the Modern World (UEA) and a BA in English and Film Studies (UCD).

He won a scholarship to the Winchester Writers’ Festival in 2017 and was longlisted for the Bath Novel Award in 2020 for The Vampires of Westminster.

He has self-published a novelette, The Wake: An Irish Ghost Story (2020) and a novella, The Weejee Man (2023), as well as a short story. He has also completed a novel writing course with Curtis Brown and is a currently working on a full-length Irish Gothic thriller novel.

He has over several years of experience in academic publishing in Production, Design and Editorial and works full time as a publisher data manager in London.
