Nadiyah Abdullatif is a Mauritius-born, Scotland-based editor and translator working from Arabic, French, Mauritian Creole and Spanish into English. Her co-translation with Anam Zafar of a Lebanese graphic novel titled Yoghurt and Jam (or how my mother became Lebanese) (Balestier Press, 2023) received a PEN Translates award, was longlisted for the Warwick Prize for Women in Translation and was shortlisted for the Saif Ghobash Banipal Prize. Her other translations of Mauritian, Lebanese, Swiss and Egyptian literature—including comics, graphic novel and excerpts, and short stories—have appeared in Michigan Quarterly Review, carte blanche, Wasafiri, ArabLit Quarterly and The Markaz Review.
