Turkish writer, translator, editor and journalist. She was born in Turkey and graduated from Dokuz Eylul University, Department of Performing Arts, Theater – Dramatic Writing Branch in 1999. She has a certificate from the “English As A Second Language” course at Sheffield College. She has worked as an editor in a publishing house in Izmir for a few years. She has nine children’s books that have been published in Turkey and has writing awards as well. She is still writing articles about Turkish, and world literature, book reviews, theatre plays and children’s stories.
I’ve translated “Artichoke Hearts” by Sita Brahmachari, which won the Waterstones Children’s Book Award in 2011, and the translated book (Enginar Kalpler) is still in the Turkish market.
I completed Shakespeare’s Life and Work course last year offered by the Harvard University Online Learning Program, and I gained a certificate for my study.
I am the UK representative of one of the Turkish referee theatre magazines as well. Also, I am one of the contributors to Tiny Readers Publishing in the USA.
