Meg Burton grew up on the sunny Isle of Wight and has an MA in music from Cambridge University. She now lives in Devon with her railway-mad husband. A lifelong passion for history led her to write non-fiction magazine articles on subjects ranging from the history of the strawberry to the history of spring cleaning which were published in The Lady magazine.
Since turning to fiction, her short stories have appeared in Yours Fiction and Woman’s Weekly.
Meg’s great-grandmother was a suffragette, and she is especially drawn to exploring the lives of women striving to make their way in a man’s world.
When she’s not writing, she can often be found playing the piano or enjoying a crab sandwich by the sea.
Book one in her debut World War One Village Saga Series will be published March 2027 by Hodder and Stoughton
