Overview & Work History

I am a First Class Honours graduate of the Open University, specialising in Biology and Creative Writing. My professional life has been mostly occupied by my role as Finance Director and Company Secretary of a multi-million pound turnover manufacturing business. However, my passion for creativity has always burned strong, even when it’s had to take a back seat to my professional role.

Since 2012 I’ve been a dedicated independent author, producing a body of work that spans dark epic fantasy, meieval folklore and young adult fiction. As of April 2026 my professional duties have reduced, allowing me to focus on my writing. 

During my tenure as Director I also engaged in freelance motoring journalism on the DriveTribe platform, where I won Best Article of 2017 and was listed in the Top Ten Articles of 2018.

Key areas of expertise:

  • Dark Epic Fantasy & World-Building: Best known for the ‘Deathsworn Arc’ series, I focus on narratives involving political intrigue, religious tyranny, and the brutal consequences of personal sacrifice.

 

  • Literary Excellence: My work, specifically The Book of Davoth: Ofelia, received the Literary Titan Silver Award (2021) for its narrative depth and character complexity.

 

Upcoming Projects

  • The Deathsworn Arc Expansion: I am currently developing the next “High-Resolution” installments in the Deathsworn Arc, deepening the lore of Imperial Wizard, Saul Karza and the companions.
  • A sequel to the award-winning ‘Ofelia-: A continuation of the ‘Book of Davoth’ narrative established in the first book.
  • Automotive Collection: Following my “DriveTribe” success, I am planning on releasing my collection of articles written during my tenure as the tribe leader of Irreverent Car Talk and Poverty Petrolheads.
