Mark Rice is an Irish writer living in Dublin, Ireland, who worked as an accountant (FCMA) in Dublin and London, until 2018 when he could afford to focus on writing. He is a registered member of the Society of Authors,  the Irish Arts Council (no ARN 73090), and the Museum of Literature Ireland MOLI. He created his blog https://weirdorwhat.wordpress.com/ in 2014 and self-published two books of short stories before self-publishing the novela Murder in Maspalomas in 2017. Taking a cruise one thousand miles up the  Amazon to Manaus, Brazil led him to write Murder On Board published by Junction Publishing in 2019. He promoted his novels through radio, newspaper articles and internet social media. His blog also includes his books reader’s comments. Both books had physical book launches which were very well attended. The arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic inspired  Locked Down Bubbling Up being self-published in 2020, a collection of poems and short stories completed by two Irish poets and Mark, without ever physically meeting.
