”If tears have no eyes to climb or ears to be heard, how will you express them? To me, writing is entering an unexplored territory almost blind, until an image comes forward – burning my eyes and claiming to be narrated. It could be dirty, childlike, nervous, sympathetic, dramatic or peaceful. It needs to get out of your head, as soon as possible”
Dr Maria Bada is a trained Sociolinguist specialised in Endangered Languages. A former academic researcher and now a Head of Digital Products based in London for over 16 years, she works across writing, visual art, and curatorial practice. Her interdisciplinary work explores queer identity, biodiversity, and landscape transformation, tracing the fragile relationships between language, ecology, and belonging.
