I’m a multi-disciplinary writer, represented by Alexander Cochran at C&W.

Last year I won The Fish Short Story Prize, and a NWN Northern Promise Award, for my short fiction collection, Smorgasbord. I was also shortlisted for The Kay Mellor Fellowship, Bath Flash Fiction, Reflex International and twice for The Bridport Prize. I have recently discovered that my first novel, Escape Artists, has been longlisted for The McKitterick Prize, which I’m thrilled about for obvious reasons.

I have an MA in Creative Writing from SHU, and my first non-fiction book The Jobbing Actor is out now with Nick Hern Books.
