Lauren Jane Barnett is an author and screenwriter best known for her award-winning short “Robot Armadillo” the “Invasion at Studio 69” segment of “Video Shop Tales of Terror II”. 

Her most recent work is the sci-fi novella “Occam’s Dream” which has received praise for it’s unexpected ending and Atwood-esque characters.  Her horror film walking guide to London, “Death Lines: Walking London’s Horror History”, made Stewart Lee’s 2024 book list with five stars, and was heralded by Kim Newman as “The A to Z horror fans need”.  Her short stories can be found in anthologies like “Tales of Fear Superstition and Doom”  and magazines including “BFS Horizons”. 

She shares her love of horror as co-host of the London Horror Movie Club podcast alongside her brother, Chris, and has acted in horror films including Mosaic and The Witches of the Sands.
