Krzysztof Mazurek is a literary translator specialising in Polish-to-English translation, with over four decades of experience. His published translations include more than sixty books, among them Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code and George Orwell’s 1984 (both from English into Polish).

His translations from Polish into English include Felicia Bryn’s Never Forget to Lie (Trafford Publishing), academic texts such as Jędrzej Śniadecki’s Theory of Organic Beings, Vols. I–III (Vilnius University Press), and works of narrative non-fiction including Tomasz Danilecki’s The Siberian Rush, Sylwia Szarejko’s Sybir on Air (both published by Sybir Memorial Museum), and Bogumił Hausman’s Deus Porta.

Krzysztof is the author of four novels: Osiem kroków tanga (Eight Steps to the Tango, 2006), Podróż na liściu bazylii (Travels on the Basil Leaf, 2011; English edition 2024), Mansarda (The Cloakroom, 2018), and Selfie z panem B. (2024).

He is a graduate of the University of Silesia in Katowice (Faculty of English) and the Jagiellonian University in Kraków (Philosophy of Religions). He has lectured at several universities, including the University of Silesia, Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, and the University of Exeter, UK. He is a member of the Polish Association of Literary Translators (Stowarzyszenie Tłumaczy Literackich).
