Kira-Anne Pelican, PhD is the author of The Science of Writing Characters: Using psychology to write compelling characters (Bloomsbury, 2020), translated into Chinese, Korean and Italian. She is a writer, educator and script editor, who specialises in helping writers develop more compelling novels, TV series and films through insights from evidence-based psychology. She presents workshops for writers on character development at universities, writers’ programmes and film schools across the world and she is the founder of CharacterMasterclass, which provides online workshops for writers.
