Kate Webster is a translator from Polish to English specialising in literature, academic texts and the arts. Her translation of White Nights by Urszula Honek (MTO Press, 2023) was longlisted for the International Booker Prize in 2024 and shortlisted for the Warwick Prize for Women in Translation the same year. Other published translations include Let’s Get Festive! Celebrations Around the World (NorthSouth Books, 2024), The Map by Barbara Sadurska (Terra Librorum, 2022; shortlisted for the Oxford-Weidenfeld Prize in 2023), and short stories by Marta Kisiel (Vintage Books, 2020) and Joanna Rudniańska (Przekrój, 2019). Upcoming publications include Glimmer, a work of reportage about northern Greenland, and I, Nina, a graphic novel co-translated with Kate’s former mentor, Antonia Lloyd-Jones.
