K.M.Laume is a writer, illustrator and musician from New Zealand, residing in the UK. She began her career as a song writer, managing to secure two record deals with US based labels, through which she released several records. She has toured her music worldwide, playing select club shows and festivals and her music has featured on several TV shows, films and advertising campaigns. 

Kim has also written a few  autobiographical articles for NZ news sites, and self-published a book of poetry. Kim primarily writes short stories, middle grade novels and writes and illustrates children’s picture books. She is looking to get these published in the near future.

With a BA in English Literature (with a focus on children’s literature) and a post-grad psychology degree underway, she is well placed to explore these varied paths in writing.
