I am a London playwright from Manchester and Blackpool. I write stage plays that often reveal hidden histories and which profile women’s experiences.

My writing reflects an Eastern European German, French, Jewish history as well as a working class voice rooted in Lancashire working class culture.

I have worked as a journalist on The Guardian, The Times,  The Sunday Times, The Observer, The New Statesman. Specialist subjects are theatre, French and German culture, Jewish history and Dance. For BBC Radio I have written and presented a documentary and for BBC TV I have written a drama documentary and radio dramas.

I am a fluent French speaker and can translate from French into English.

As a theatre director,  I am used to producing, developing and directing dramas.

I am a Fellow of the Royal Literary Fund and a PhD.
