Children’s author
I am the author of the picture book Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Lunch? (illustrated by Tuire Siiriainen) published by Perspectiv (April 2019) and nominated for the Luxembourgish Book Prize. I am currently writing a middle-grade novel.
Editor
I work as a freelance editor of children’s books (picture books, middle-grade, and YA) and am happy to take on ghostwriting projects. I was the editor of the picture book Tiny Feet, Tiny Shoes by Adeline Foo, which won the Asian Children’s Book Award in May 2017. I am a market editor for the Cornerstones Literary Consultancy, where I mentor new authors. I am also an Associate Lecturer in Publishing at Oxford Brookes University.
Journalism
My journalism experience includes 19 years as a radio journalist for the BBC and several years as a freelance writer for Brand Perfect magazine. I have also had travel writing articles published in other magazines, including a prize-winning article about visiting an orangutan sanctuary in Borneo (SilverKris Magazine).
