I am a social scientist based at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Cambridge, and am interested in how insights from the evolutionary sciences can help to solve pressing issues like health inequality and the erosion of trust in society. 

In addition to my academic work I am a science writer, and write opinions, feature articles, and book reviews for a variety of publications. My first book, Invisible Rivals: how we evolved to compete in a cooperative world, is out now with Yale University Press.
