My first full-length literary translation, Marzahn, Mon Amour by Katja Oskamp (Peirene Press, 2022) won the 2023 Dublin Literary Award, and was runner-up for the 2022 TA First Translation Prize and shortlisted for the 2022 Warwick Prize for Women in Translation. I also translated another Katja Oskamp book, Half Swimmer, published by Peirene in 2024, and am currently translating Mayfly Season by Matthias Jügler for The Indigo Press.

I also translate non-fiction: The Invention of Good and Evil by Hanno Sauer (Profile Books, 2024) and currently How Wars End by Jan van Aken. I was also part of a team of translators working on Angela Merkel’s memoirs Freedom, published in late 2024.

I am particularly keen on literature from or about the former GDR. 

I’d also love to translate some literature from French, my stronger language, too. My MA dissertation translation from French of Sylvain Tesson’s The Wolf’s Path (L’Axe du loup) was shortlisted for the 2019 John Dryden Translation Competition.
