Published since 2004, Jo has written over fifty books for around fifteen publishers ranging from the bestselling A Library of Lemons (Piccadilly/Bonnier) to the multiple award-winning Looking at the Stars (PRH). She writes for all ages, from picture books and early readers for educational publishers to gritty YA, but her favourite age band to write for is 9-12s. Books in this age group include the Electrigirl series (OUP), the Sweet Hearts series (PRH) and the more recent Starlight Stables Gang series (PRH) with YouTube equestrian superstar ThisEsme.

Jo regularly carries out school visits where she runs creative writing workshops for children. She also trains authors for EmpathyLab and provides workshops for children’s authors on how to create a successful school event.

Jo is also developing her skills in script and screenwriting, drawing on her theatrical background as a professional actor. She lives just north of Oxford.
