Jim is the author of The Caravan at the Edge of Doom, The Caravan at the Edge of Doom: Foul Prophecy (Farshore, 2021, 2022) and Buzz Sausage Wolf (Hodder, 2025). 

For many years, Jim taught English at a secondary school in London.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Literary Fund at Chichester University.
