Jeremy writes deeply unfunny adult books about climate change and social justice, and funny books for children. He uses the same author name for both because he didn’t think it through and now it’s too late.
His latest book, Max Counts to a Million, (Nosy Crow, 2022) was Times Children’s book of the week, and won the Stockport Childrens Book Award. He also visits schools and runs creative writing workshops, and loves any excuse to enthuse about books with children.
On the adult non-fiction front, Climate Change is Racist: Race, Privilege and the Struggle for Climate Justice (Icon, 2021) is a ground-breaking book connecting two vital issues for the 21st century. It was longlisted for the Wainwright Prize.
Besides book projects, Jeremy writes the UK’s leading green blog, The Earthbound Report, and is a regular speaker on climate justice, net zero and sustainability. He is a founder of the Postgrowth Institute, Sustainable St Albans and Zero Carbon Luton.
Jeremy grew up in Madagascar and Kenya, and now lives in Luton.
